Recording/Remote Sessions

'Greg is my go to drummer. I discovered him via a remote recording directory - therrd.net
He is very versatile in his playing styles, turns projects around quickly and always goes above and beyond to deliver more options than I ask for which is great. He's also very amiable and easy to work with.
I'd recommend him to any composer.'

Daniel Nolan- Composer
'Greg is such an amazing player, with wonderful groove and beautiful feel and touch. He's always been able to adapt his playing to whatever style I've thrown at him. His turn around times are super quick, and the sound he gets from his studio is really great.'

Jim Cornick- Composer
'Greg White has blown me away with his remote services. He has consistently impressed me with both his fantastic musicianship and his technical expertise in getting a top quality sound. He has excellent insight in to the musical requirements needed and can tailor the sound specifically for the task presented.
I wholeheartedly recommend him without hesitation.'

Gaz Williams- Bassist, producer and music technologist on YouTube
Having recorded in some of the world's top studios (Abbey Road, Air, Strongroom...), I now offer pro quality full drum kit and percussion recordings remotely from my own treated live room. I can perform on your track/album wherever in the world you may be. You send me your track/s and I return a mixed stereo drum mix and raw separate audio files from each mic, if you want to mix it yourself. Simple.

My main recording kit is left permanently mic'd up, so I can usually turn things around quickly. The 'dead' sound of the relatively small recording space gives a clean recording. I've been having fun adding some natural reverb using the adjacent corridor and staircase.
Using my collection of kits, snares and cymbals, I can offer a wide choice of sounds customised to your song/album and taste (check out my Remote Recording video below). From experience, I'm happier working to click when tracking by myself, but can work without if needed. Also, as I read notation, scores or charts are welcomed, if available.

Microphones by Shure, SE, Audio Technica and matched pair of Royer 121 style ribbons modded by Xaudia for overheads going into Logic Pro X (or Pro Tools if needed) on Macbook Pro, via an 18 channel Midas MR18 interface. Monitoring is via Adam, Audeze & Sonarworks.

Check out the videos below for examples and use the Contact page to discuss your needs and rates, or if you'd like me to send you full resolution (24bit/44.1kHz) examples.
